As much as I love summer, I could never be too disappointed at its ending, knowing the splendor that awaits. As with all great seasons in our lives, the eventual absence of something tends makes it so special. The knowledge that these great chapters are temporary gives rise to a type of appreciation that doesn’t exist with all the amenities we are so accustomed to using on demand.
